About the Role

In a workday that is ever-changing, you always having the ability to make a positive impact by helping families and beneficiaries, and continuously learning through changes in Tax and Estate Planning. The legal trust document will govern your daily responsibilities because each one is specifically written to meet the client’s needs.

What You Can Expect

You can expect to manage risk, develop and maintain a positive relationship with clients, and carry out the trust provisions.  No two days are the same, and every family situation brings something different.  As your trust administration knowledge grows, opportunities for advancement will increase across the bank.  You can develop into leadership or a specialized area like Disability and Elder Trust or Advisory Trust Service, or you may venture to other areas of private wealth such as investments or banking.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will use your knowledge of trust administration to carry out instructions for complex trusts, and respond to internal and external inquiries around trust documents.
  • You will ensure accounts are set up appropriately, and distributions are completed accurately, in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • You will utilize your interpersonal skills to meet business development and retention goals by developing new business through relationships with business partners, existing clients, and centers of influence.
  • You will work closely with Portfolio Managers, Specialty Asset Managers, and Internal Auditors.
  • You will leverage your customer service skills to go above and beyond to provide an exceptional client experience.

We'd Like to Talk to You

RELATIONSHIP BUILDER: Your love for customer service and helping others, along with an ability to network and build relationships, will take you far.  You’re constantly taking a deeper dive, researching, dissecting, investigating, and asking the right questions to provide the best service.  

TRUST ADMINISTRATION:  You must have a working knowledge of document provisions, probate law, taxes, investments, and the legal framework of estate and trust administration in order to dispense funds properly to beneficiaries.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: You generate new business and cross-sell to existing clients to produce significant revenue for the bank.

COMMUNICATION: You are an excellent writer and speaker with the ability to build relationships with clients and coworkers.  

ORGANIZATION: You will need to handle multiple requests efficiently and prioritize your work.

DETAIL ORIENTED: Follow-up, follow-through, and accuracy are crucial to ensure a smooth process for all parties involved.

DECISIVE:  You make difficult decisions in a timely manner.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related and professional certification or post-graduate degree and ­­6-8 years of directly related experience in ­­­­­­­­­­­­trust or 12-14 years equivalent combination of education and experience.
