The Private Wealth Associate plays an integral role in all aspects of Private Bank activities and maintains a high degree of interaction with each Private Wealth Advisor. The Private Wealth Associate will be instrumental in various aspects of duties in fiduciary administration, investment management, banking, and project management activities within the Private Bank.

  1. Partner with Private Wealth Advisors to complete analysis, client assessments, client requests, and client projects. Review and analyze complex client and sales information including providing recommendations. Completes advanced departmental projects for the Market Executive, Private Banking, Investment or Trust Manager and at times responsible for analysis, evaluation and recommendations for these projects with limited supervision.
  2. Performs complex analysis and develops the sales strategy by synthesizing client data. Prepares proposal materials which Private Wealth Advisors use to win new client business. As needed, manages customer accounts in compliance within legal, statutory, and customer guidelines.
  3. Coordinates relationships with respective internal and external professionals and with other areas of the bank including; Tax, Real Estate Management, Mineral Management, Investment Management and Operations departments. Highly involved in existing client depository relationships and prospective lending relationships. Coordinates account opening/closing/maintenance; conducts research and problem resolution with limited oversight.
  4. Proactively communicates with various parties about their investment, banking or fiduciary trust accounts. With moderate supervision from team members, may complete sales presentations, client analysis and recommendations for Trust Officers, Private Bankers, Client Advisors, and Investment Managers in the management and reporting of client accounts.

  • Working knowledge of various securities and investment-related products and services i.e. domestic stocks, taxable bonds, tax free bonds, mutual funds, and international stocks
  • Working knowledge of fiduciary practices, with basic knowledge of Personal Trust
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze complex legal and trust instruments, including the ability to logically and effectively assimilate information into analysis and recommendations
  • Good working knowledge and basic understanding of lending practices and policies, loan documentation requirements and regulation
  • Ability to assess specific customer needs, recommend and offer appropriate Private Banking products and prepare client and new business presentation material
  • Proficient computer skills including word processing and strong working knowledge of spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • Extremely strong oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business; and 4-6 years equivalent experience in financial, accounting, legal, or other markets.
