The Purpose of the Role and Impact on the Company

As a Customer Service Representative in ExpressBank you’re an expert in providing best-in-class customer service to our Consumer clients. You are on the front-lines and represent the bank though each and every interaction.

The Value You Deliver

  • Responding to inquiries, solve problems and provide solutions on account activity though inbound calls, chats, secure messages and other communication channels. 
  • Accurately resolving problems, determining needs/anticipating future needs and providing solutions on the first contact.
  • Confidently recommending a full range of consumer products and services such as deposit accounts, consumer loan products, digital banking, ATM and other self-service options to enable clients to reach their financial goals.
  • Mitigating risk and ensuring our clients feel confident we have taken care of them.

Issues generally include questions regarding account transactions, account balances, account activity, digital banking, debit cards, loans and time deposits. ExpressBankers will also process some transactions such as stop payments, funds transfers, account and debit card maintenance.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of consumer banking products and services including mobile and onlinebanking.
  • Familiarity with multiple channels of customer support including: phone, email and chat
  • Ability to follow established standards and use judgment to determine when appropriate to escalate
  • Strong math skills including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
  • Advanced PC skills and technical aptitude with the ability to learn systems quickly (MS Office programs and SharePoint
  • A passion for doing the job right the first time and maintaining accuracy throughout a transaction including following up

  • Problem and conflict resolution with the ability to understand, probe and ask the right questions
  • Professionalism with the ability to build relationships
  • A passion for customer service and banking 
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing 

Requirements

  • This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial services or customer service industry; college degree is a plus.
