About the Role

You’ll be responsible for coordinating the workflow of items including loan documentation, worksheets, commitment reports, rate option set-up, syndication/participation agreements, tickler set-up or resolution, set-up or changes for new and renewal loans, and monitoring daily operations within boarding and/or servicing.  You’ll also coordinate the resolution of requests, external audit balance/rate confirmations. Your solid understanding of complex loan documentation, its’ interpretation, and the ability to relate to system functionality for the structure will set you up for success.

What You Can Expect

This role is fast-paced, and you’ll learn something new every day. The workflow is distributed as needed. You’re the subject matter expert available to help your team with questions and issues versus being fully engaged in the process. You’ll provide the first-level problem solving and training for the department and be the first point of contact for handling and monitoring issues or complaints and adherence to Mortgage Servicing Rules.

You’ll train staff and assist in analyzing worksheets, commitments, rate options, participation agreements, syndication agreements, and servicing agreements for all loan transactions (new, renewal, amendments, and rate options).

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You’ll coordinate daily workflow in the area and monitor work to ensure compliance with operational policies, procedures, and loan documentation requirements, and establish priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
  • You’ll monitor quality control reports to ensure system integrity and oversee the quality and quantity of daily processing.
  • You’ll support the manager in ensuring GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, TILA, RESPA, SCRA, FCRA, UDAAP, BSA, and other applicable regulatory requirements are met within the department and assist with research regarding customer issues and/or complaints and ensures responses are completed within specified timeframes.
  • You’ll participate as a unit representative in mergers and acquisitions and operational conversions and serve on committees relative to operations, products, and equipment.

LOAN PROCESSING: You understand complex mathematical calculations and accounting principles as applied to loan processing.

LEGAL ACUMEN: You need to understand legal documentation, including interpretation of language and structure, and understand accounting principles.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and 3-5 years of directly related experience in Commercial/Consumer Lending or Loan Operations with significant knowledge of Document Preparation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
