The Investment Strategist is responsible for financial asset management within Private Bank client accounts in conjunction with either local Client Advisors or Trust Officers.  Meets with existing and prospective clients to profile the client, assess financial service needs and propose solutions within the framework of the company’s asset allocation strategy, Provides advisory services for investment portfolios, recommending appropriate investment strategies to achieve risk-adjusted client objectives.  Provides performance reporting to client on periodic basis as established by clients.  Keeps current on economic and market trends, as well as compliance and regulatory issues.  


  1. Conducts client profiling process to determine client goals, needs and investment objectives.  Builds financial models and makes recommendations for portfolio construction within the corporate investment management strategy. 
  2. Designs and constructs client investment portfolios to maximize risk-adjusted returns, in accordance with the company’s defined asset allocation strategy; Utilizes the company’s approved investment list to execute investment strategy within client portfolios.  Reports account and/or relationship performance to client on a periodic basis, as established by the client.
  3. Is an active part of the relationship management process, partnering with Trust Officers and other Wealth Management Officers as necessary. Documents activity.
  4. Develops, maintains, and expands client relationships, most often in conjunction with other advisors or specialists within the firm. Teamwork across all lines of the organization is an essential element to this role.
  5. Performs annual investment reviews pursuant to 12 CFR 9.6(c) (Reg 9 reviews) to ensure account assets are appropriate for and in compliance with stated account objectives.  Documents exceptions.
  6. Keeps current on market events and the BOK Financial investment strategies, opinions, and product set.





  • Thorough knowledge of investment-related products and services
  • Thorough knowledge of tax, estate and financial planning principles and concepts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral presentations and written reports.
  • Ability to assess specific customer needs, recommend appropriate investment strategies, offer products to meet those needs, and compel customer to act upon those recommendations
  • Proficient  PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Sales aptitude/self-motivated/goal oriented

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business and 6-8 years experience in the securities industry or equivalent work experience of 14-16 years.
