Senior Associate, E-Spectrum Advisors

The Senior Associate, E-Spectrum Advisors is primarily responsible for developing, structuring and executing a broad range of advisory assignments and financial transactions. The focus is on the upstream oil & gas sector with expertise in acquisitions and divestments (A&D), private financings, joint ventures and valuation services.

  1. Support the development and management of client relationships by preparing client presentations and maintaining client files. Assist in marketing processes, data rooms and bid rounds for client engagements.
  2. Perform and review valuation analysis. Support the development of custom transactional and financial solutions for clients. Refer business opportunities to appropriate departments in the bank (lending, treasury, etc). Interact with leadership by supporting the execution of client and company mandates.
  3. Assist in the coordination and management of work flow between the banking team and technical team. Assist in the development of junior talent within the group. Keep leadership informed about the status of active and upcoming engagements, calling plans, and administrative issues.
  4. Ensure bank policies and procedures are followed. Effectively balance investment banking and administrative responsibilities. Assist leadership in implementing new directives.

  • Proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Comfortable working in an environment that both values and fosters initiative, creativity, and professionalism
  • Able to manage multiple client engagements while fulfilling administrative responsibilities
  • Experience in supporting the origination, structuring, and closing transactions, particularly A&D transactions, private capital raises and joint venture arrangements
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate, if not to build, financial models for client engagements
  • Ability to draft and present transaction presentations, information memoranda and other relevant origination and placing material
  • Strong analytical orientation, with experience performing financial and valuation analysis in Excel or comparable spreadsheet tools
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through a Bachelor’s degree PLUS a minimum of 4 years of experience in an oil & gas investment banking position with prior experience as an investment banking vice president or senior associate. A MBA is strongly desired. Series 63 & Series 79 licenses are required.
