The Business Initiative Consultant is responsible for leadership of cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services, and initiatives.  Examples might include, but are not limited to finance/operational/executive management review coordination, process improvement and redesign, change management initiatives, ongoing involvement and oversight of leadership/diversity/recognition/Gallup Q12 or general program oversight.  Provides management in the integration/implementation/of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary.  Works with functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict and ensure alignment with BOKF/Wealth strategy/policies and business line objectives.  Develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives.  Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary.  Non-essential functions identified with an asterisk '*'

Typical duties performed at this level may include all of the following or a few of the duties listed.  Percentages will vary depending upon utilization within the department.

  1. Lead large cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services, and initiatives such as process improvement and redesign, change management initiatives, BOKF sponsored priorities.            
  2. Provides management in the integration/implementation/of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary.  Works with functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict and ensure alignment with BOKF/Wealth strategy/policies and business line objectives.               
  3. Will interface with Salesforce leaders and be fully trained to be our on-the-ground expert and ensure that all users are well- trained, using best practices and consistent practices across all business line and business users.  Additionally, this individual will be our sounding board for improvements which need to be made to the Salesforce system.  This person will be the depository for prospect lists prior to uploading to Salesforce and will assist in scrubbing prospect lists prior to uploading to keep data relevant.            
  4. Responsible for the ongoing review of current processes in an effort to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.  Develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives.  Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations.              
  5. Exposure identification and problem solving to ensure prompt resolution            

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:       

Minimum education, experience, technical and communication skill levels and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position

  • Consulting experience with multiple levels of management
  • Proven ability to work independently with attention to detail
  • Experience working within multiple projects or initiatives
  • Demonstrated time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of line of business goal and objectives
  • Expert/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Diagnose and remediate problems
  • Strong facilitation and group leadership skills, including excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying department needs and providing successful solutions through partnership with business leaders, including financial acumen
  • Proven track record of leading change initiatives
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance/Management/Accounting and 6-8 years related experience or 11+ years of equivalent work related experience in Finance, Management, Project Management, Implementation or Strategic Planning.
