The Mortgage Systems Application Administrator is responsible for Business Unit Year End processes, coordination of MSP standard and elective enhancements, assisting with technology and business unit testing of MSP core functionality and similar functions for the MSP system within Mortgage Servicing. Additional duties include identification, evaluation, design and development of efficient processes and systems utilization, concentrating on compliance, governance, risk mitigation, cost effectiveness and industry best practices for all of Loan Servicing as it relates to MSP and the Black Knight’s suite of technology solutions as well as other Mortgage Servicing applications.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Subject matter expert of the Mortgage Servicing Package (MSP) and administration of the Black Knight Financial Services (BKFS) suite of products
  2. Assisting with Year End Processing by providing the business unit(s) with monthly support to ensure checklist is complete, meetings are held, and necessary steps are taken to ensure successful year-end processing. Ensure accurate and timely response to IRS Notices and filing deadlines. Oversee the accurate reporting to the IRS and timely borrower notifications
  3. Completing complex research and escalated requests for MSP system headers, options, and user fields. Performs analysis of MSP workstation utilization and provide proposals of solutions to ensure functionality is used for optimal usage of MSP
  4. Assisting in coordination of MSP system enhancements and business initiated projects to ensure enhancement is properly implemented. Providing documentation and support on prior or upcoming enhancements. Administer security applications used to service mortgage loans. Special projects and duties as assigned.
  5. Completing daily system functions, creating groups, system snapshots, filters, and loan indicators; running Passport queries and submitting transactions. Administer security applications used to service mortgage loans
  6. Lead control/communication meetings to ensure requested, cross-functional MSP changes are discussed and decisions or processes are implemented with proper controls in place Attending Functional Advisory Committees, as assigned and provide the business with committee details and encourage participation, as applicable

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • 5+ years of experience as a MSP Systems Administrator or similar function
    Expert proficiency in use of MSP and its subsystems including, Online Letter Writer, Director, Passport, Desktop/Process Management, and Invoice Management
  • Expert level working experience with Microsoft Office –Excel, Access; proficiency in Word
  • Strong working knowledge of the mortgage servicing industry
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present to varying audiences
  • Excellent decision making ability
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple complex assignments
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and provide solutions to difficult issues

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelors Degree and 5-7 years experience or 8-10 years equivalent work experience.
