The Accelerated Career Track Intern is primarily responsible for a variety of assigned duties, responsibilities, and studies throughout the bank in an intense 10 week internship program designed to develop financial, analytical and sales skills to prepare for a career within the organization as determined through the training and rotational process. Participates in internal training programs and self-study courses in order to develop skills to be used on the job; specific focus on the Bank's operations, markets and strategies.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes 10 week internship program including both classroom curriculum and hands-on exposure in applicable divisions. Participates in production activities in support of LOB needs.
  • Participates in the Battle of the Interns project on teams with other interns to review a process improvement or other project as assigned. Collaborates with peers throughout project and presents findings to a panel of judges.
  • Receives general training to develop skills in the areas of time management, effective presentations, selling, leadership, communication, and professionalism.
  • Establishes and build relationships with managers, mentors, and peers.
  • Prepares special reports and assumes special projects as may be assigned by the department manager; may present data, analysis, draw conclusions, and make recommendations from financial information when required.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting and financial principles
  • Excellent PC skills including spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications
  • Excellent math skills and ability to understand/calculate percentages and fractions
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and resources to achieve outstanding results
  • Ability to interpret company policies, procedures and practices
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals
  • Advanced people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of people both internally and externally

 

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through work towards completion of a Bachelor's degree.

 

Our internship program will begin in late May 2018 and run 10 weeks throughout the summer.
