The BOK Financial Capital Corporation Associate is primarily responsible for the analysis of potential investment opportunities, monitoring industry trends, working with portfolio companies and select reporting requirements. One of the key responsibilities of this position is the development of valuation and cash flow models and supporting analyses incorporating findings from due diligence, discussions with senior leadership, and industry data.  The purpose of these analyses is to help the BOKFCC team make better, more informed decisions regarding investment alternatives.  In addition, this person will also provide assistance to senior officers on development and implementation of marketing plans as well as working closely with senior management of portfolio companies.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis used to support the underwriting of potential investment opportunities.
  2. Perform a significant role in business and financial due diligence, including model development, industry review, competitor analysis; develop investment memorandums; contribute to oral presentations provided to investment committee.
  3. Monitor and manage existing investment relationships which include review and analysis of current financial statements, budgets, and projections; compile reports necessary to monitor investment quality and compliance with policy / regulation.
  4. Coordinate select monitoring and reporting requirements.  Support marketing strategy and coordination of effort across business segments and divisional lines.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

 

  • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis including ratio and trend analysis and projections
  • Advanced knowledge of  accounting principles and practices
  • Advanced understanding of investment underwriting, documentation, policy, and regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of the principals and application of financial concepts including NPV, IRR, financial valuation and risk measurement
  • Ability to evaluate potential investment and acquisition opportunities and provide initial recommendations
  • Superior research skills
  • Understanding of risk and varying ways to structure investments
  • Resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver concise and persuasive oral and written reports and presentations
  • Good PC skills including knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications

 

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in a private equity, investment banking, transaction services group within a large accounting firm, or a commercial lending environment; or 9+ years equivalent experience.  Financial certifications like CPA, CFA, etc. are strongly desired.
