About the Role

Without the expertise and dedication of our IT Directors, we would not be able to deliver superior services and products to our customers. This role offers an opportunity to leverage your existing skillset and become grounded in our culture's management practices. This leadership role will direct strategic development and day-to-day operations of the Digital Design, Digital Platform, and User Experience Analysis teams.

What You Can Expect

You will lead the organization within the five pillars of IT: 1) Strategy, 2) Project Execution, 3) Financial Planning, 4) Process Improvement and Governance, and 5) Talent. Your goals and objectives will tie back directly to these pillars. You will be part of an exciting and ongoing digital transformation within BOK Financial with a long-term focus. You will lead a team of direct reports, providing leadership and direction to product managers, product owners, and user experience / digital designers.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will develop, deliver, maintain and lead the evolution of the Digital User Experience Strategy / Playbook in close collaboration with other senior leaders and digital product owners.
  • You will ensure new platforms/features comply with BOKF Digital Design Language and are highly aligned with meeting the goals and objectives of the business.
  • You will recruit, develop, motivate and inspire a high-caliber team and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
  • You will oversee an annual operating budget and ensure timely and accurate tracking of employee time and seek out opportunities to drive measurable saving and efficiencies.
  • You will lead the teams responsible for executing BOKF’s Digital Roadmaps and ensure all work is performed in alignment with well documented, repeatable, efficient processes.
  • You will ensure that new platform usability is monitored and reviewed regularly and that material UI/UX improvements are added to the roadmap backlog.

RESULTS ORIENTED:   You show initiative as you focus on the desired deliverables while meeting and exceeding your goals.

PROBLEM SOLVER:  You are able to track and solve complex problems in a variety of situations and function effectively in rapidly changing or uncertain conditions.

SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT: Deep understanding of the evolving digital world, in particular in the fields of product design, user experience, and usability research.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Master’s Degree in a related field of study and a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience in Digital Design or User Experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing teams of professionals who perform functions in Digital Design and User Experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  The incumbent should be well versed in relevant best practices including lean UX, atomic design principles, and design thinking.
