The Employee Relations Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting the Employee Relations and Compliance team, and other Human Resource personnel, in achieving their objectives through the use of human capital information and reporting. This position is involved in the development of metrics and reports designed to measure the contribution of the Employee Relations team efforts, trends regarding employee issues, and various Employee Relations and Compliance related requirements including annual Affirmative Action reports and internal quarterly, monthly and semi-monthly reports as well as all background check related processes. Assist others with problem resolution and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency in the various processes therefore proactively driving positive change.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Creates, reviews, and distributes scheduled and ad hoc reports to the Employee Relations and Compliance Manager, and other human resource personnel. Ensures data integrity and on-time delivery. Continually reviews the report process to ensure data is provided in the most efficient manner.
  2. Reviews and completes all candidate compliance screening processes including fingerprint, drug screen, and additional business line specific screening requirements. Reviews and dispositions all requests for access to employee email accounts. Escalates complex issues appropriately for final review and approval.
  3. Assists with the design of, and maintains, a range of metrics and reporting to strategically inform and measure employee relations efforts. Organizes and tracks ongoing reports, team projects, issues, goals and processes. Develops and maintains tools to help standardize processes and scale the employee relations function.
  4. Corresponds with vendors and internal/external contacts to ensure all vendor processes are delivering as intended. Identify and/or augment various technology or process improvement solutions.
  5. Provides interpretive review of data trends and statistical anomalies, where needed. Effectively communicates the reason behind the use of key metrics.
  6. Provides input on HR policies and procedures, partners in formulating guidelines and preparing presentations for management and HR. Makes well informed recommendations based on research and trends.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • Strong analytic knowledge and critical thinking regarding the interpretation and organization of human capital data in order to identify trends and recommend solutions
  • Strong math skills with knowledge and ability to understand moderately complex math problems
  • Discretion and sound judgment in managing confidential data and sensitive information
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail and basic project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills including knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Experience in employee relations preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or other related field required. A minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in an analyst position, preferably in Human Resources or Risk Management preferred.
