The IT Team Manager is responsible for planning and managing all activities within the Electronic Payments Information Technology area. This includes ownership of a suite of application systems along with an annual portfolio of projects.  The role serves as an enabler for highly effective communication between IT and the Line of Business/IT executives who make the strategic decisions for those projects. The ideal candidate is someone who operates with passion and confidence, and gets energized with developing and executing a plan that takes an organization from “good to great”.
 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITY:  Engage with key line of business executives and other partners across the bank to bring business and technology roadmaps to life.  Leverage a deep understanding of line of business strategic imperatives along with key IT imperatives, like digital to the core, to become a trusted advisor to the lines of business served.  Bring thought leadership to the business of IT and help to advance key priorities like ITIL transformation, IT Governance and Risk Management.  Assist the business in defining the appropriate Service Levels needed to meet and exceed customer expectations and develop strategies to achieve them.

TACTICAL RESPONSIBILITY:  Lead a team of professionals that oversees all aspects of systems analysis, design, development, maintenance, and support for the application systems for an assigned line of business.  For those applications systems owned by the team, ensure they are maintained in accordance with the Technology Lifecycle Management and Information Security policies.  Work collaboratively with the lines of business to ensure that current and future goal state needs of the business are aligned with the current or planned suite of applications.  Drive execution of the project portfolio while simultaneously achieving project KPIs.  Participate in enterprise initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions and operational conversions; serves on committees relative to technology, products, and equipment; participates in collaborative study and review of proposals and design of new products in alignment with architectural standards.

TALENT MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT:  Fully engages as a part of a leadership team that is committed to making BOKF IT a destination for top talent.  Works to recruit, retain and develop IT Talent.  Provides assigned staff with clear, concise direction and provides regular performance feedback throughout the year. Anticipates and identifies issues inhibiting the attainment of assigned goals; develops and implements corrective actions.

  • Extensive knowledge of technology, automation and workflow tools
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the needs of the business units and how these needs can be addressed through technology
  • Extensive analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills including the ability to analyze processes through logical and creative thinking
  • Advanced knowledge of project management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of team building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of professionals
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to guide and influence decisions across a complex and highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent ability to think logically and effectively assimilate meaningful information from large amounts of data while ensuring critical deadlines are met
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Management, or a related field and 5-8 years of practical experience or 10-13 years of equivalent experience.
