The Securities Sales/Service Specialist is primarily responsible for operational, administrative, and sales support to the Financial Consultants/Client Advisors, who provide investment services to clients. He or she performs daily servicing activities, which involve documentation, information gathering, and compiling, works under general supervision. Their goal is to remove as many non-revenue producing task/actions as possible from the representative’s day-to-day activity. The Securities Sales/Service Specialist provides direct support and service to customers; provides quotes on investment securities; responds to inquiries regarding securities transactions; resolves problems with applicable investment and deposit accounts; provides sales tracking, account assignment research, and sales performance measurements; utilizes appropriate systems in the tracking of customer contacts with other areas of the Bank to ensure that calls are recorded in the system. The Sr. Specialist is also more heavily involved in client meetings and performs many of the financial planning functions of the Client Advisor teams.

  1. Account Servicing - Assists customers with inquiries and problem resolution by performing research on various systems (including but not limited to PROFITS, Pershing, NetXPro, Fi-Serve, as well as vendors’ online systems) regarding safekeeping billing, investment and deposit accounts. Manages the process of unresolved account problems to coordinating with appropriate parties; ensures the customer’s primary salesperson is aware of the actions taken and/or needed by maintaining close communication.
  2. Technology Expert – Power user of firm’s technology platform including but not limited to Profits, Pershing, NetXPro, FiServ, Money Guide Pro etc. to provide price quotes, comparisons, and execution of securities transactions when the primary sales person is unavailable; communicates with trading desk to obtain quotes for customer; processes and inputs sales tickets utilizing appropriate systems. Utilizes various planning software to develop and deliver some basic financial planning modules to clients.
  3. Business Development - Maintains familiarity with the customer base of each salesperson in order to provide high quality customer service and to ensure optimum marketing potential; answers customer’s inquiries regarding investment products. Plays an active role in client meetings and assists the Client Advisor in the delivery of financial planning to the client.
  4. Front Office Operations – Opens client accounts and keeps customer profile information up to current BOSC Books & Records Standards. Initiates all money movement transactions and account servicing.

  • Extensive understanding and knowledge of investment products and services provided by BOSC, Inc. and BOk Financial Corp
  • Extensive knowledge of bonds and securities and their related tax implications
  • Working knowledge and understanding of BOKF’s commercial products and services
  • NASD Series 7 or MSRB Series 52, and Series 63 licenses
  • Excellent PC skills including appropriate systems usage (including but not limited to Systeme, FiServe, CRISP, PROFITs, Pershing, NetXPro, Knight-Ridder, Bloomberg, Morningstar)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer relations and sales skills
  • Excellent organization skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a competent and professional manner
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics and 4-5 years experience investment sales/operations or 10-11 years equivalent work related experience.
