Job Description

The Loan Documentation Manager is primarily responsible for the BOKF Loan Documentation Department.  The department is focused on providing our business partners with professional quality recordable documentation to protect our rights to repayment and perfect our interest in collateral, when applicable. The loan documentation is primarily generated utilizing the LaserPro Loan Documentation program. The department supports both the consumer and commercial lines of business.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will identify, develop, recommend, and implement revision of internal standards, policies, operating procedures and new programs to improve efficiency; provide staff with clear, concise, written guidelines and provide performance feedback related to internal standards; minimize losses through effective internal controls; ensure internal work procedures are consistent with departmental and overall divisional goals and objectives; ensure service level standards are met.
  • You will define annual department objectives; develop operating plan in compliance with senior management decisions; plan and administer annual budgets for personnel and project expenses; identify savings and efficiencies in overall operation; prepare management reports, expense reports, budget variances, operational statistics and quality reports.
  • You will ensure department efficiency by predicting, controlling, implementing and approving changes in workload, procedures and schedules through analysis of internal operation and appraisal of external needs identified through an active, continual liaison with other departments and sections; establish and maintain working relationships with department managers, regulators and auditors to ensure the needs of customers and the organization are met.
  • You will manage departmental activity via first line supervisors; determine work priorities; recommend additions to staff; exercise usual authority of a manager concerning performance appraisal, salary recommendations, discipline, counseling, incentives and terminations.
  • You will assume responsibility for all department operations; research and resolve complex problems which require considerable judgment and handling beyond staff experience and knowledge; assure resolution of technical problems related to work and equipment.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Accounting with 5-7 years operations experience with at least 1-4 years experience in a supervisory capacity or equivalent experience of 13 years in operations which includes at least 4-5 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity. Preference knowledge of bank operations.

  • Extensive knowledge of production management, operations and delivery systems
  • Extensive knowledge of banking operations and workflow efficiency
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent managerial skills; ability to motivate employees and provide team leadership
  • Excellent research and problem solving skills, including reconciliation and budget analysis
  • Ability to supervise multi-functions and multi-shifts
  • Ability to organize work flow and process improvement to ensure numerous critical deadlines are met daily
  • Extensive knowledge of secured transactions
  • Extensive knowledge of lending laws and regulations
  • Law degree or extensive legal background preferred
