Job Description
The Trade Finance Support Specialist focuses on partnering with internal stakeholders, including Relationship Managers, Treasury Management Officers, and International Operations—to support the delivery of tailored trade finance solutions. The specialist brings product knowledge and market insight to core trade finance products such as import and export letters of credit, standby letters of credit, documentary collections, export financing and EXIM products.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will support the development of an annual business plan to grow international product usage and client engagement.
- You will collaborate with internal teams to drive outbound efforts and advance trade-related opportunities.
- You will deliver training to help relationship managers identify and position trade finance solutions.
- You will maintain records to ensure accurate activity tracking and compliance reporting.
- You will ensure compliance with internal controls and international banking regulations in partnership with Risk.
- You will provide servicing support and engage with export agencies to facilitate client trade strategies.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, International Relations, or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in international trade, commercial banking, international product sales, or equivalent work-related experience of 10-12 years.
- Strong knowledge of products relating to international trade finance, including commercial letters of credit, standby LCs, export financing and the types of customers who utilize these products.
- Familiarity with world economics, geopolitical trends, and foreign exchange principles.
- Proficiency with Salesforce or equivalent CRM tools for pipeline management and opportunity tracking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and client follow-up.
- Ability to travel as needed.
