About the Role

The Closing Quality Assurance Specialist is one of the final steps in the home loan process and assists in getting the loan across the finish line. You are able to support many different groups within the Mortgage department with your experience and knowledge in lending guidelines and regulations.

What You Can Expect

Each day will bring something different. You will primarily review COC’s and work with your internal business partners to ensure the mortgage loan is closed on time. You will ensure quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed by analyzing daily reports.

 

You will work as a team and know the regulations and requirements for a variety of loan types. You will prioritize each day and ensure that no man is left behind.  You will use your communication to inform all parties on the status and timing of the final steps in the loan process through the closing table.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • Perform audits across the various closing processes to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed.
  • Monitors and ensures procedures regarding mortgage loans are being met according to company guidelines, policies and GSE guidelines and requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with State and Federal banking regulations.
  • Monitor, review and verify Change of Circumstance after a CD has been issued.

  • POSTIVE ATTITUDE:  You enjoy working with others and remain positive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • TECH SAVVY: Your computer skills will be put to the test by accessing multiple systems and learning our processes and procedures.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years mortgage closing experience or 8-11 years related experience in mortgage operations.
