The Loan Documentation Manager is responsible for the Loan Documentation Department. Focused on providing business partners with professional quality recordable documentation to protect rights to repayment and perfect our interest in collateral. The loan documentation is generated utilizing the LaserPro Loan Documentation program. Supports both the consumer and commercial lines of business.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Identifies, develops, recommends and implements revision of standards, policies, operating procedures and programs; provides staff with clear, concise, written guidelines and provides performance feedback related to internal standards; minimizes losses through effective internal controls; ensures internal work procedures are consistent with departmental and overall divisional goals and objectives; ensures service level standards are met.
  2. Defines annual department objectives; develops operating plan in compliance with senior management decisions; plans and administers annual budgets for personnel and project expenses; identifies savings and efficiencies in overall operation; prepares management reports, expense reports, budget variances, operational statistics and quality reports.
  3. Ensures efficiency by predicting, controlling, implementing and approving changes in workload, procedures and schedules; establishes and maintains working relationships with department managers, regulators and auditors to ensure the needs of customers and the organization are met.
  4. Manages departmental activity; determines work priorities; recommends adds to staff; exercises authority of a manager concerning performance appraisal, salary recommendations, discipline, counseling, incentives and terminations.
  5. Responsibility for department operations; researches/resolves problems; assures resolution of technical problems.
  6. Directs study and establishment of systems, procedures, methods, and forms; establishes and maintains contact with other banks, equipment manufacturers, banking associations, and vendors.
  7. Participates as a unit representative in M&A and operational conversions; serves on committees relative to operations, products, and equipment; participates in study and review of proposals and design of products.
  8. Keeps informed of rules, regulations and technological developments; reviews, researches, and analyzes effects of regulations on policies/procedures.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • Extensive knowledge of production management, operations and delivery systems
  • Extensive knowledge of banking operations and workflow efficiency
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent managerial skills; ability to motivate employees and provide team leadership
  • Excellent research and problem solving skills, including reconciliation and budget analysis
  • Ability to supervise multi-functions and multi-shifts
  • Ability to organize work flow and process improvement to ensure numerous critical deadlines are met daily
  • Extensive knowledge of secured transactions
  • Extensive knowledge of lending laws and regulations
  • Law degree or extensive legal background preferred
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Accounting with 5-7 years operations experience with at least 1-4 years experience in a supervisory capacity or equivalent experience of 13 years in operations which includes at least 4-5 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity. Preference knowledge of bank operations
