We are hiring a Secondary Marketing Analyst II for our Capital Markets division. This role offers you the latitude to do your job, build long-term relationships and collaborate across the organization to achieve more together. If you have a background in mortgage pricing and origination, risk management, as well as excellent analytical skills, we would like to talk to you.

Job Description

The Secondary Marketing Analyst II is responsible for providing analytical support to the Secondary Marketing Manager in optimizing the value of mortgages originated by BOKF Mortgage, which will include but is not limited to participating in the development of business unit strategy by preparing and disseminating daily rate sheets, creating and maintaining databases, creating analytical reports to analyze and communicate key risk metrics and trends that are critical to managing the interest rate risk of loans in the “pipeline” and their related hedges.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will be responsible for risk management of our mortgage origination pipeline.
  • Projecting and analyzing the gains and losses to ensure they stay at an acceptable limit and report the information as needed.
  • Guiding analysis and updating procedure as the market environment evolves.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or the like and 4+ years of directly related work experience or 7+ years of similar. Mortgage banking experience is helpful, but not required. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred.

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of financial modeling and familiarity with the advanced functions in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced knowledge of the principals and application of financial concepts including NPV, IRR, financial valuation and risk measurement; and familiarity with option valuation and return characteristics
  • Proven ability with R, Visual Basic, SQL, and/or SAS preferred
  • Working knowledge of financial markets and instruments, specifically fixed-income investments
  • Working knowledge of macroeconomics
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of the principals and application of statistics
  • Familiarity with interest rate derivatives such as interest rate swaps and options
  • Solid interpersonal skills including proficient oral and written communication skills with the ability to prepare concise executive reports for senior management and to deliver persuasive oral and written arguments to senior management
  • Superior organizational skills          
  • Resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) applicable to the mortgage and banking industry
  • Prior experience with MIAC or Yieldbook is a plus
