About the Role

In this role you’ll be primarily responsible for receiving joint interest billing invoices, determining codes for invoices, and inputting information in to our systems for processing of payments. This includes invoice analysis to avoid overdrafts and to resolve any other issues that may come up. You’ll collaborate with staff, business partners, and customers to research in this role.

What You Can Expect

You will research and resolve inquiries involving invoices, payments, and working interest ownership information. You will become proficient in our proprietary systems to track requests, upload and code invoices, and prepare paid invoices for filing.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will receive Joint Interest Billing invoices for monthly expenses of working interest of oil and gas properties, determine codes for invoices, and input information for payment into multiple platforms and databases for processing of payment.


  • You’ll follow strict timelines and use tickler systems so that all work is completed on time.



  • You will prepare reports and research working interest payment histories and account balances in order to avoid overdrafts.


  • You’ll work with different internal departments as some invoices may require special requests.

We'd Like to Talk to You

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE - You’ll need proficiency in 10-key speed and error accuracy, mechanical aptitude, and strong MS Office (Word and Excel).

ORGANIZATION - You will need to be efficient to handle multiple requests, and prioritize your work.

PROBLEM SOLVER - You will need to use skillful questioning to draw out information and make informed decisions to resolve issues.

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS - You will need to be good with numbers to perform complicated mathematical calculations and to learn complex technical information.

COLLABORATION - Enjoy working in teams and across departments with a proficiency to follow-up and follow-through.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or 1-2 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
