The Investment Manager II is primarily responsible for asset management of key clients and sophisticated investment accounts, reviews assets, recommends changes and sets investment objectives.

  1. Manages bond and equity portfolios for the most sophisticated clients to maximize investment returns commensurate with an acceptable level of risk. Analyzes securities, portfolios, and asset allocation to ensure adherence to investment objectives and maximize investment returns within client and investment management group guidelines.
  2. Presents to prospects and consultants the capabilities of the Investment Management Group. Works with sales people from other areas of the Trust Company to present asset management group abilities.
  3. Communicates with new and existing clients and administrators about their account, securities markets and economic trends which includes the reporting of investment activity and performance.
  4. Studies research to keep abreast of current trends. Makes security selection and stays informed about developments in security markets using fundamental and or technical analysis.
  5. Consults with clients to develop investment objectives, provides advice, stays abreast of tax and legal issues concerning the impact upon the investment process. Reviews accounts and assets on a regular basis.
  6. Attends and contributes to investment policy committees and regulation 9 investment review meetings.
  7. Assists in setting investment strategy for the investment management group. Assists in review and creation of investment policy and procedures.

  • Thorough knowledge of various securities and investment related products and services i.e. stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and international investing
  • Strong oral, written and communication skills, including interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge of investment related statistical reporting and performance measurement
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business and 5-7 years related experience. In addition, completion, or progress toward completion of the CFA designation.
