About the Role

As a Senior Mortgage Loan Closer you will make dreams come true. You’ll partner with the Mortgage Banker, Borrower, Underwriting and Processing teams, to take the loan across the finish line.

The Senior Mortgage Loan Closer ensures accuracy and documentation is correct, and works on a prioritized timeline to make sure that loans close on time. Personal satisfaction comes from seeing our clients smile and knowing you’ve made a difference in their family and dream of homeownership.

What You Can Expect

Each day will bring variety. You are the last step in this amazing process.  You are reviewing documents, checking for accuracy, and calculating final figures all in a fast paced environment where there is never a dull moment.

You will work as a team and know the regulations and requirements for a variety of loan types. You will prioritize each day and ensure that no man is left behind.  You will use your communication to inform all parties on the status and timing of the final steps in the loan process through the closing table.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will review all files in closing for accuracy and alignment with regulations, guidelines and requirements
  • You will calculate final numbers and monies owed by each borrower and deliver final docs to all involved parties.
  • You’ll use your tech savvy to navigate multiple systems to access information.
  • You will ensure loan proceeds are distributed and final documents are attached in the Mortgage Loan Origination system for audit.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through an Associate’s degree and a minimum of 4-6 years of mortgage loan processing/closing experience which should include 2-4 years prior operational support and/or loan documentation review experience in a mortgage lending institution or a real estate or title agency.
