We provide learning opportunities that help drive performance and increase skills and organizational knowledge using:

  • Instructor led

    Live and virtual courses focus on a variety of topics taught by our learning and development team including soft skills, technical skills, sales and employee onboarding.

  • E-Learning

    All employees have access to LinkedIn Learning which provides more than 18,000 courses including custom content specific to our company.

Leadership programs

GEAR Management program

Our GEAR Management program focuses on a core set of performance and development principles that are expected of all managers. Course curriculum includes connecting and communicating in the workplace, energizing employee development, engagement, retention, and a focus on situational leadership, presented with Ken Blanchard Companies.

Harvard School of Business program

Collaborating with Harvard School of Business, our leadership development programs help participants gain new leadership skills and insights that advance their knowledge, abilities and experience, preparing them for their next opportunity. Participants gain insights from case studies, simulations, group discussions and live classroom interaction with thought leaders.

Mentoring

Mentoring provides a powerful opportunity for our employees to learn from each other and further their career development in addition to our formal learning programs. Our two distinct programs - Achieving More Together (AMT) and Retain, Include, Support, and Empower (RISE) - help our employees continue to develop their talents. AMT pairs employees with more than one year of employment with leaders from across the company. RISE pairs new employees with a culture ambassador to help them successfully navigate the company.

Communities of practice

Communities of Practice (CoP) are groups of employees who share a concern or passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly. CoP at BOK Financial offer a collaborative and supportive space where employees at all levels can connect, share best practices and learn from one another. These communities help unlock the full potential of our diverse skills and experiences while fostering innovation and creating new knowledge that supports our strategic and business goals.

Internal mobility

Growing and evolving the careers of our team members is an important part of our success in retaining talent. Internal mobility is a key part of our focus as a talent magnet, whether that's moving into a position of management or leadership, a lateral move into a new area, or a geographic move into a new market.

Current team members typically have first consideration for open positions, and managers are actively engaged in advocating for employees' professional advancement. Team members work with their managers to develop and document a career development plan, outlining short- and long-term career aspirations. Plans can include goals on everything from social and experiential learning to formal coursework.
