Job Description
The Specialty Asset Manager I manages and maintains, under limited direction, a substantial & complex portfolio within a given segment of non-financial assets, i.e., closely-held businesses, life insurance, tangible assets, notes and mortgages. Works independently or partners with Account Officers, Portfolio Managers, and external professionals to provide comprehensive solutions to complex customer needs throughout the United States. This position may manage unique assets for any of BOKF’s private wealth accounts.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will be managing and maintaining, under limited direction, a substantial & complex portfolio within the given segment of non-financial assets, i.e., life insurance, minerals, notes and mortgages, real estate, and closely-held business.
- You will be working independently or as partners with Account Officers, Portfolio Managers, and external professionals to provide comprehensive solutions to complex customer needs throughout the United States. This position may manage accounts and properties for any BOKF’s bank and trust affiliates.
- You will collaborate with subject matter experts on assigned assets during the ongoing administration of estates, trusts, and agency accounts. You will maintain client relationships and assigned relationships. You will resolve asset-related issues to assure quality service is provided to clients.
- You will be responsible for accurate and complaint oversight and completion of client and account activities related to assigned assets. This is accomplished by analyzing and reviewing all assigned assets annually to ensure compliance and adherence to a) the bank’s policies and procedures, b) Office of Comptroller of Currency (O.C.C.) requirements, c) the account’s investment objective, and d) the directions provided within the government document.
- You will coordinate asset investment and management issues and activities with clients and respective internal and external professionals. Provide expertise in the buy, sell, retain decision, for each assigned asset, as well as analyze, inspect, value, determine the highest and best use, maximize investment performance and manage risk associated with investment and management activities of assigned assets.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and 3 - 5 years related experience or 7 - 8 years equivalent work experience.
- Basic knowledge of contracts, leases, and title documents
- Basic knowledge of asset management functions pertaining to a specific segment of specialty assets, i.e., overseeing closely-held businesses, life insurance, tangible assets, and servicing notes and mortgages.
- Basic knowledge of fiduciary practices and responsibilities.
- Basic knowledge of laws that apply to a specific segment of specialty assets, i.e., oil and gas law, real estate law, consumer lending, life insurance regulations, or business law.
- Demonstrated PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Demonstrated communication skills and ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations
