Job Description
The BSA/AML Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the monitoring, analyzing, researching, auditing, documenting, and timely filing of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) enterprise-wide for all applicable BOK Financial subsidiaries. The BSA/AML Operations Analyst ensures CTRs meet the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act using an automated CTR system and maintains all records and reported information concerning CTR transactions. The BSA/AML Operations Analyst will also review CTR cash aggregation reports for possible suspicious activity, such as structuring, placement and layering of funds. The BSA/AML Operations Analyst will be responsible for the Bank’s CTR exemption process, including reviewing, documenting, and renewing according to annual exemption requirements.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will audit Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) from branches and vaults to ensure they are accurately prepared and entered into the automated system.
- You will verify that all cash transactions subject to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) are properly reported to the IRS.
- You will investigate discrepancies to identify potential BSA violations or fraudulent activity such as deposit structuring.
- You will contact branch personnel for missing data, monitor for suspicious activity, and escalate findings to BSA/AML Investigators.
- You will review customer activity for CTR exemptions, gather required documentation, and maintain exemption records per BSA guidelines.
- You will maintain centralized records of CTRs, assist branches with compliance questions, and ensure procedures are up to date for regulatory review.
Education & Experience Requirements
The required level of knowledge is normally acquired through an Associates’ degree and one to two years of financial institution experience. Experience in BSA/AML is preferred. A minimum of two hours of continuing education is required each month on industry – related topics or technical skills related to the role.
- Advanced knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, AML, USA PATRIOT Act, and the Money Laundering Suppression Act regulations and business transaction practices.
- Thorough knowledge of bank operations and compliance policies.
- Excellent PC and software skills including Excel, Word, Fidelity, Atchley systems and Synergy.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret information, research problems, and suggest appropriate solutions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize working files and critical situations.
