Job Description

The Manager II, Loan Operations is primarily responsible for all aspects of management of the department operations overseeing processes related to loans for Consumer, Private Bank, Business Banking, SBA and the Commercial Lines of Business. The Manager must have an excellent understanding of legal/regulatory compliance and internal policies as it applies to the loan documentation, lien perfection, system functionality and departmental process and procedures. The Manager must be familiar with RESPA/TILA/FCRA/SCRA/Mortgage Servicing Rules/BSA/UDAAP and other various regulations that could affect the processes and compliance along with all applicable internal Bank policies. The Manager ensures the department operations functions efficiently, accurately and timely for BOKF. This position is responsible for management of front-line staff, however, may handle workflow/production management through team leads or work directors.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will enhance efficiency by updating standards and procedures, offering clear guidelines and feedback, reducing losses with controls, and aligning with departmental goals and service standards.
  • You will set department goals, create and manage budgets, ensure compliance with senior management, find operational efficiencies, and prepare various financial and operational reports.
  • You will improve department efficiency by managing tasks and schedules, analyzing processes, collaborating externally, and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
  • You will manage departmental operations, including supervising staff, setting priorities, and handling performance evaluations, salary decisions, and disciplinary actions.
  • You will oversee all department operations, resolve complex issues requiring advanced judgment, and ensure technical problems related to work and equipment are addressed.
  • You will oversee the development and implementation of new and updated operational systems and procedures, while maintaining relationships with external banks, vendors, and industry associations.
  • You will represent your unit in mergers and acquisitions, serve on operational committees, and collaborate on proposals and new product designs.
  • You will stay updated on rules, regulations, and technological developments, and analyze their impact on the bank’s policies and procedures.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Financial Accounting with 6 years operations experience with at least 3-4 years experience in a supervisory capacity or equivalent experience of 10 years in operations which includes at least 3-4 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.

  • Extensive understanding and ability to apply regulatory requirements to day-to-day processes, procedures and operation
  • Extensive knowledge of management, operations and delivery systems
  • Extensive knowledge of loan operations and workflow efficiency
  • Advanced  knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent managerial skills; ability to motivate employees and provide team leadership
  • Excellent research and problem solving skills including reconciliation and budget analysis
  • Ability to supervise multi-functions, multi-shifts
  • Ability to organize work flow and process improvement to ensure numerous critical deadlines are met daily
  • Preference knowledge of loan operations
