Job Description

The Quality Engineer IV offer a set of methodologies, processes, and principles that help a product team establish, maintain, improve and achieve a certain level of quality for its product. A Quality Engineer IV is responsible for developing processes, testing procedures, and implementing systems to ensure that products and processes comply with regulatory requirements while meeting clients' expectations. From software development perspective, it is the management, development, operation and maintenance of IT systems and enterprise architectures with a high quality standard. Starting with the initial product concept through the development stages, a quality engineer is involved; ensuring the product created has the highest level of quality without defects. At BOKF, we strive for the highest level of quality for every product we offer making the Quality Engineer a valued business partner.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will oversee and guide the creation, maintenance, and adherence to test strategies, test data, and defect management processes.
  • You will ensure product integrity by reviewing and guiding the quality standards of systems, processes, and procedures.
  • You will create and uphold testing standards across enterprise platforms to reduce failures and ensure product quality.
  • You will manage processes for triaging defects to keep the backlog healthy.
  • You will create and implement preventive measures using innovative metrics to improve defect detection and reduce escaped defects.
  • You will work with stakeholders and leaders to find opportunities, solutions, and implement product improvements and efficiencies.
  • You will review and guide audit documentation to ensure process adherence.
  • You will guide the training strategy by coaching, mentoring, and developing team members on quality standards and best practices.
  • You will implement systems to solve quality issues in software and product development.
  • You will collaborate with the Automation team to review trends and optimize the test suite.
  • You will build and sustain strategic relationships with stakeholders.
  • You will conduct internal audits and improve risk management practices and documentation.
  • You will work independently, utilize internal resources, and guide team members.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a  Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Science/Information Technology or related field of study and/or 10+ years of directly related experience in Quality Engineering and/or Quality Assurance or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of contact center or contact center as a service (CCaaS), especially Five9 
  • Expert Research and Troubleshooting skills 
  • Advanced experience with testing of infrastructure and/or Cloud Technologies – AWS, Microservices, APIs etc.
  • Expert Understanding of software coding principles/standards and architecture
  • Established track record working in a DevSecOps environment 
  • Expert experience and guidance in the use of Gherkin/BDD
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills  
  • SDLC (agile, waterfall, etc.)
  • Expert experience and guidance in the use of API testing
  • Solid Understanding of software coding principles/standards 
  • Excellent understanding of Data Structures, Data Modeling and design experience 
  • Test Data Creation and Maintenance. 
  • Experience in successful implementation of TDD or BDD. 
  • Strong collaboration with Automation team to move automation forward. 
  • Manage cross-functional projects with many stakeholders 
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • Maintain and educate team members on industry trends and advancements
