Job Description

The Senior Accountant II, Financial Reporting position is primarily responsible for the preparation and filing of financial reports for various regulatory agencies including, but not limited to OCC, FDIC, FRB, SEC and FINRA. This position performs detailed data analytics, monitors and assists in developing and maintaining internal controls and policies and procedures over financial reporting. Performs assessments and technical research of changes to reporting standards and new business activities and provides financial and management information and analysis, as directed.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will prepare financial statements and disclosures for SEC forms 10-Q and 10-K.
• You will prepare moderate to complex level financial statements and supporting data for weekly, quarterly, and annual FRB and FDIC reports.
• You will collect, examine, and analyze detailed data and supporting documentation for financial reports.
• You will analyze the effectiveness of programs and recommend changes in accounting policies and procedures to meet goals and objectives.
• You will actively identify and lead projects to automate data extraction and report generation.
• You will perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and memo accounts.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 5+ years combined experience in a bank or in public accounting firm serving bank clients, or 8+ years equivalent work experience. Must be a Certified Public Accountant or candidate actively pursuing certification. Other relevant certifications may also be considered.
