Job Description

The Talent Development Consultant II implements and continuously improves enterprise talent development processes, programs, and tools that strengthen performance, employee development, succession readiness, and leader effectiveness. This role partners with leaders, Human Resources partners, and Talent & Organizational Development colleagues to deliver consistent, practical, and user-centered talent solutions across the organization.

The consultant serves as both a talent process subject matter expert and internal partner for performance management, development planning, talent reviews, succession planning, behavioral expectations, and related talent initiatives. The role coordinates talent processes and technology activities, develops resources and communications, facilitates discussions and workshops, monitors participation and adoption, and recommends improvements based on data and stakeholder feedback.  The consultant helps ensure enterprise talent practices are executed consistently and effectively while identifying opportunities to improve the leader and employee experience.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will coordinate enterprise talent and development processes across the organization.
• You will facilitate talent reviews, calibration sessions, and leader discussions.
• You will guide leaders on performance, development, and succession planning.
• You will support talent technology processes, training, and adoption efforts.
• You will create and maintain talent resources, tools, and documentation.
• You will analyze data and feedback to improve talent programs.
• You will identify trends and recommend enhancements to employee experiences.
• You will support talent initiatives through planning, coordination, and execution.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, or a related field and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in talent management, leadership development, human resources, organizational development, learning and development, or related disciplines.

Experience facilitating meetings, coordinating enterprise programs or processes, developing business resources, supporting talent technology systems, or consulting with leaders and Human Resources partners is preferred. 

• Working knowledge of talent development disciplines, including performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, employee development, behavioral expectations, and talent planning processes. 

• Ability to provide practical guidance to leaders, Human Resources partners, and stakeholders regarding established talent processes, frameworks, tools, and practices. 

• Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to guide talent discussions, leader workshops, calibration sessions, and process education. 

• Ability to interpret talent data, participation measures, adoption metrics, and stakeholder feedback; identify trends and communicate actionable observations. 

• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives, stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines. 

• Ability to develop clear, practical tools, resources, job aids, communications, and implementation materials that improve process execution and user adoption. 

• Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across business areas and stakeholder groups. 

• Ability to apply established enterprise frameworks consistently while identifying and recommending opportunities for process and user-experience improvement. 

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, reporting tools, and talent management or human capital management systems; experience with Oracle HCM talent modules is highly preferred. 

• Sound judgment, attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive employee and organizational information.
