Job Description
The Technical Analyst III is responsible for acting as a liaison between Financial Systems, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), and Accounting with a focus on accurate, timely and trusted data sets. Utilizes expertise as an experienced technical professional with a comprehensive understanding of industry-standard business processes, analysis practices, and organizational policies and procedures. Responsible for defining, analyzing, designing, programming, planning, implementing, and supporting critical system software and associated procedures. The focus is on driving technical implementations that align with the organization’s long-term technology roadmap, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and innovation. The Technical Analyst helps plan, organize, implement and control projects which have an organizational impact as well as provides day-to-day support for complex applications systems in Finance, Accounting and other key areas.
We're seeking a technically strong, systems-minded analyst to join our Financial Systems team supporting Oracle Cloud EPM. We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in technical systems, databases, scripting, and integrations—someone willing to learn Oracle Cloud EPM and grow into a subject matter expert. How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will work as part of a collaborative team to support Oracle Cloud EPM Applications (BAU Support), monitoring and troubleshooting issues across Freeform, Planning, PCMCS, EDMCS, and other EPM modules to ensure smooth daily operations. Ample training and ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed in this role
- You will contribute to enhancements and new development efforts within the Oracle Cloud EPM suite, including scripting, data integration, and configuration tasks. Additionally, assist with general development work outside of EPM when needed, such as SQL-based automation, data processing, or infrastructure improvements.
- You will participate in our team’s Kanban stand-ups every Monday and Thursday morning, where we review our Jira board, discuss priorities, and align on in-progress and upcoming work.
- You will join occasional meetings or communications with senior leadership, FP&A, Controllers, and Financial Accounting teams to align on priorities and share updates.
- You will work directly with business stakeholders to understand and document requirements for new features, reports, or process improvements
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of (a/an) Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field of study and / or 3-5 years of directly related experience in Technical Analysis, Data Analytics, or Bank Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Solid technical understanding of:
- Strong SQL skills (Oracle SQL preferred, but MSSQL and others acceptable)
- Relational database design and optimization
- PL/SQL or similar procedural extensions
- Scripting and automation using languages such as Java, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, or DOS Batch
- Automating batch jobs and ETL processes
- System architecture and complex data flows across multiple applications
- API integrations, file-based interfaces, and middleware tools
- Data transformation, staging, and mapping between source and target systems
- Familiarity with ETL tools or frameworks (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Oracle Data Integrator)
- Cloud concepts including SaaS vs PaaS, multi-tenancy, and security awareness
- Error handling, log interpretation, and troubleshooting integration failures
- Tiered environments (development, testing, UAT, production, DR)
- Leveraging knowledge of enterprise systems and cloud platforms (Oracle ERP/EPM, SAP, Workday)
Following experience is a plus (These are not required—we provide comprehensive training.)
- Exposure to Oracle Cloud EPM Planning
- Familiarity with Groovy scripting or REST API integrations
- APEX Development experience
- Understanding of banking or accounting concepts
- Prior experience with ESSBASE or Hyperion
