Job Description
The Management Accounting Analyst III is primarily responsible for researching, collecting and analyzing financial and statistical data to provide management with information and advice for their use in setting and realizing profit objectives; supports preparation of financial and management information to division manager for decision and performance measurement purposes.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will develop reports, identifying trends and analyzing variances, ensuring timely and accurate information to management.
- You will assist in the preparations and creation of the annual budgets and help forecast the performance of each line of business within the division utilizing sophistical financial models.
- You will analyst and generate reports which measure actual results against budget to assist finance and executive management in making capital project and/or pricing decisions.
- You will prepare and review financial analyses in support of month-end close process.
- You will assist in special projects as required by financial and executive management.
- You will interpret financial data and prepare presentations regarding data for Division Controller and Management.
- You will coordinate with financial accounting to document and understand the accounting process for each department within the division.
- You will monitor accounts payable activity to ensure proper cutoff and timely recognition of expenses.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 3+ years of work related experience. CPA or willingness to work towards CPA preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting (both financial & managerial) and finance principles and practices
- Basic knowledge of financial and management accounting and reporting methodologies employed in financial institutions, including management’s application of business information in decision making processes
- Basic knowledge of profitability analysis concepts and application, including those related to funds transfer pricing and cost accounting
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent knowledge of PC-based applications (databases, spreadsheets, word processors, utilities, operating systems)
- Basic knowledge of SQL database management systems language is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and priority management skills
