About the Role

This is an exciting development opportunity where you’ll play an integral role by actively learning the various aspects of Private Wealth activities.  You will interact with Private Wealth Advisors, Private Wealth Bankers, Trust Officers and Investment Managers. You will take a deep dive into the core responsibilities of fiduciary administration, investment management, private banking, and project management activities within the Private Bank.  Various team members throughout the private wealth organization will provide guidance and training, and you may complete sales presentations, client analysis and management and reporting of client accounts.

What You Can Expect

This role gives you a birds-eye view into each of the private bank’s functions.  You will have the opportunity to go on client calls and be a part of strategic planning for the client needs.   While not an administrative role, you will be tasked with performing a wide variety of duties that support the private bank’s various functional groups.  You’ll be highly involved in existing client depository relationships and prospective lending relationships. You’ll coordinate account opening/closing/maintenance, conduct research, and solve problems with limited oversight.  You will be the difference maker for the advisors you support.

The role is designed to create a foundation in the various specialties within the private bank and to prepare you to ultimately move into an officer role.  It’s a challenging and demanding role.  Along with learning the ins and outs of the business, you are supporting a large group of people and managing different priorities.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You’ll partner with Private Wealth Advisors, Private Wealth Bankers, Trust Officers and Investment Managers to complete analysis, client assessments, client requests, and projects, as well as review and analyze complex client and sales information and provide recommendations.
  • You’ll complete advanced departmental projects for the Market Executive, Private Banking, Investment or Trust Managers which will require you to synthesize data and perform complex analysis.
  • You’ll develop both external and internal relationships, including specialty areas of the bank such as Tax, Real Estate Management, Mineral Management, Investment Management and Operations departments. 

We'd Like to Talk to You

SECURITY, INVESTMENTS & LENDING: You have working knowledge of fiduciary practices, with basic knowledge of Personal Trust.  You have basic understanding of lending practices and policies, loan documentation requirements and regulation. You have working knowledge of various securities and investment-related products and services i.e. domestic stocks, taxable bonds, tax free bonds, mutual funds, and international stocks.

COMMUNICATION: You are an excellent writer and speaker with the ability to build relationships with clients and coworkers.  

PROBLEM SOLVER: You are able to track and solve complex problems in a variety of situations and function effectively in rapidly changing or uncertain conditions.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business; and 4-6 years equivalent experience in financial, accounting, legal, or other markets

Preferred: Master’s Degree or Juris Doctorate
