Job Description

The Alternative Investments Analyst II is responsible for assisting in all phases of product management and use of alternative asset classes as well as coordinating and leading the development and implementation of one or more asset classes.  The scope of the products includes hedge funds, private equity, private real estate and other non-listed securities.  Intensively involved in the sourcing, due diligence, investigation, review and oversight for alternative investments.  Makes recommendations on the approval of investments and their applicability to individual client portfolios. Serves as an important liaison to the portfolio management group for their use of alternative products.  Makes presentations to sophisticated High Net Worth clients on Alternative Investments.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will work with the Alternative Investment Products to measure performance and oversee a database of prospective investments 
  • You will network with internal customers and educate on alternative investments
  • You will serve as a leader and liaison for select external management 
  • You will oversee hedge fund investments and manage the rebalancing of existing investments 

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and 5-6 years of experience in the alternative investment area or a Master’s Degree in Business and 2-3 years of related work experience or 11 - 12 years of equivalent work experience.  A CAIA Charter is strongly desired for this position and a CFA is desired for this position.
