The Cyber Identity Management Engineer II provides engineering support for complex system management activities related to system software, hardware, performance, problem determination or resource management requiring communication and coordination with vendors, technicians, clients, and management. It will also provide technical input to management decision making in the area of software, hardware, and performance, leveraging automation and AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate. Job responsibilities include: defining networking requirements; performing detailed analysis of various projects and requests; developing designs for projects that have varying degrees of complexity; formulating procedures; monitoring key performance indicators; and implementing advanced business solutions. The Cyber Identity Management Engineer may also integrate systems or operate in a DevOps model depending on the maturity of the organization and/or product.
Job Description
The Cyber Identity Management Engineer II provides engineering support for complex system management activities related to system software, hardware, performance, problem determination or resource management requiring communication and coordination with vendors, technicians, clients, and management. It will also provide technical input to management decision making in the area of software, hardware, and performance. How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will design, configure, and deploy, Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms and tools that are functional, resilient and secure
- You will effectively collaborates with IAM partners, project teams and business users as an evolving subject matter expert to evaluate IAM solutions against business requirements and best practices
- You will create and maintain design, technical architecture, and release management documentation
Essential Duties
Technical Design and Implementation
- With oversight from manager and senior team members, designs, configures, and deploys, Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms and tools that are functional, resilient and secure [May work more independently on projects which are low to moderately complex]
- Effectively collaborates with IAM partners, project teams and business users as an evolving subject matter expert to evaluate IAM solutions against business requirements and best practices
- Creates and maintains design, technical architecture, and release management documentation
- Evaluates vendor solutions to ensure they meet technology and security standards
- Effectively collaborates with IAM Partners to build strategies for identity & access management services that are robust and scalable
- Ensures the creation and delivery of high quality documentation as required by the scope of a project, including the ability to support a warm-handoff to other teams for ongoing support
- Leverages AI-enabled tools and automation technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of work processes. 30%
Operational and Administration Support
- Using experience, judgement and precedents, performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for moderately complex to complex issues 60%
- Provides response and reporting for internal and external logical access audit requests, and participates in remediation activities in response to audit findings
- Works proactively to determine threats, identify risks and vulnerabilities to the organization, and recommends corrective actions
- Analyzes and observes trends with technical issues and provides input to developing long-term improvements
- Administrates and maintains IAM systems and solutions in line with BOKF policy and security standards
- Assists in governing and continually improving processes and procedures that comply with the principles of least privilege
- Collaborates with various Audit and Compliance teams to identify, assess and mitigate operational risks, evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the platform, standards, procedures, processes, and internal controls
- Assists with the development and management of Identity Management principles and standards including regular periodic reviews of each
- Identifies opportunities to automate manual or repetitive tasks
- Applies sound judgement when using AI-generated outputs, ensuring alignment with business, security and compliance requirements
Developing Self
- Researches and follows industry trends in the IAM space to build upon knowledge base and develop recommendations that influence BOKF’s strategic IAM plans
- Anticipates and identifies issues inhibiting the attainment of assigned goals; develops and implements corrective actions
- Aligns team members to shared goals and creates opportunities for teamwork
- Stays informed on emerging AI and automation capabilities relevant to the role and proactively develops skills to apply them responsibility and effectively in a regulated environment
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a business related field and 5+ years’ Technical experience performing logical access functions, designing, implementing and deploying IAM services and infrastructure
- Comprehensive skillset in IAM technologies and tools including privileged access management technologies, single sign on authentication protocols, MFA protocols and technologies, and Identity Governance and Lifecycle technologies and Directory Services, AD, LDAP, and DNS
- Demonstrated strong understanding of Identity & Access Management concepts and best practices
- Comprehensive knowledge of personal computer operating systems and directory structures,
- Comprehensive understanding of common scripting languages
- Comprehensive knowledge of network structures and proficiency using network commands/utilities, performing administrative functions, establishing individual and group access permissions
- Proficiency creating, retrieving, and manipulating data on a variety of computer platforms
- Thorough understanding of data communications (access protocols, software, data transfer/manipulation) concepts, software, access control capabilities
- Ability to develop and document policies, procedures, and standards
- Strong Excel and Word experience
