BOK Financial is seeking a Division Consultant who will provide consultative support using the BOKF profitability system, develop strategies, pricing, and product offerings, and analyze profitability information to improve results. Job Description

A Division Consultant collaborates with business line partners across the bank's footprint, adding financial and strategic value. Their focus is on customized, actionable bank strategies that drive tangible returns.  Using an activity-based costing (ABC) methodology, this position helps creates a transparent and credible costing environment that enables them to consult with business line partners and to provide a holistic view of customer, product, and organizational financial data.  Additionally, a Division Consultant leverages best practices from past experiences and collaborates with business partners to build useful tools (i.e. pricing/staffing models, report templates, and dashboards) needed to successfully manage their business and to make better informed business decisions.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will leverage performance data and Activity Based Costing to analyze profitability, consult with various managers to interpret this information, provide analytics to identify cost savings, revenue enhancement, and process efficiencies, and build new pricing tools and staffing models.
  • You will strategize, support, monitor, manage, and validate multiple complex cross-functional projects with the Profitability Improvement team, while educating management about project purposes and uses of cost data to enhance departmental performance.
  • You will analyze and incorporate various management accounting methods into the performance system, support regulatory and audit requests related to affiliate expense process and profitability reporting, and use risk capital, risk-adjusted return on capital, and gross margin measurements to optimize capital deployment.
  • You will be responsible for the timely and accurate month-end close, and provide financial advice to the management team for improving performance and managing costs.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Analytics and 5-8 years of diverse experience within a commercial bank which includes 3-6 years of profitability measurement or 10-12 years of equivalent work related experience.

Preference:

CPA or CMA, or eligible to sit for the CPA or CMA exam
MBA or advanced degree


Skills:

Strong knowledge of cost accounting and practical application in activity-based costing theory and methods
Advanced knowledge of profitability analysis and pricing
Proven ability to build and maintain business partnerships and relationships
Advanced knowledge of financial accounting practices and principles
Strong knowledge of management accounting practices and principles
Advanced knowledge of all bank operations in a diversified banking institution
Specialized knowledge in Consumer, Operations, and/or Information Technology within banking
Working knowledge of funds transfer pricing and risk assignment concepts
Advanced Microsoft Office skills; ability to learn new software quickly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven analytical and organizational skills
Strong interviewing, communication, and presentation skills
Proven use of SQL for querying and coding, especially Oracle
Preferred background with data analytics tools (i.e Alteryx, R, Python)
Strong knowledge of developing and utilizing dashboards within PowerBI
Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills and applications as the banking environment continues to demand it
