$58,416 - $85,140

About the Role

As an Energy Derivatives Sales & Marketing Associate you’ll be responsible for canvassing market analysis, ensuring customer data meets regulatory requirements, delivering documentation to your team and collaborating internally to ensure accurate and relevant records.

You will work collaboratively with Relationship Managers, Credit Specialists, Traders, Risk Management and Legal to maintain risk controls and account management.   The variety of responsibilities in this role is compelling for avid learners.  There will be a lot of information to comprehend quickly and execute in a timely fashion. You’ll manage data via excel and trading platforms to provide sound and timely pricing trends and metrics.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will maintain a risk profile for Energy hedging customers including portfolio tracking.
  • You will ensure all existing derivative customers maintain compliance with all existing/future regulatory requirements. 
  • You will maintain current oil & gas market knowledge base including price trends by region.
  • You will create and maintain database for BOKF’s hedging customers including metrics tracking and updates.

Education & Experience Requirements

Required level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field and 2+ years of experience in the natural gas and oil marketing business, along with 2+ years of banking or related work experience with a publicly traded financial institution in Energy Lending and the Energy Trading line-of-business is ideal.

  • Working knowledge of natural gas and oil marketing, energy derivative products, or natural gas basis differentials option modeling is desired.
  • Strong business and financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Experience with real-time commodity pricing services like Marketwatch or CQG and experience with trading software, ideally Openlink.
  • Excellent PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Developing conceptual thinking and analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex problems that include interrelationships and dependencies in order to formulate effective solutions
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to effectively represent self and BOKF, as well as ability to present complex information and issues in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Works effectively as a team. 
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, results driven and detail oriented while able to understand the broader picture of serving the needs of the customer and protecting the bank’s interests
