Job Description

The Financial Data Analyst II performs a key role on BOKF’s wealth management team. This position is responsible for understanding, documenting, and designing key data-driven processes for a multi-year project to modernize BOKF’s wealth technology platforms. This role will influence the design and implementation of many key projects aimed at growing revenue and operational efficiencies at BOKF.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will assist in the data cleanup, analysis, and design for on-going wealth technology projects to ensure both enterprise and business line success. You will determine the optimal analytic approach and support the development, implementation, and enhancements.
  • You will identify data quality issues and causes through data profiling reviews and root cause analysis. You will also work with wealth business line leaders to prioritize and resolve issues.
  • You will work with wealth subject matter experts to document and implement new data processes and procedures, which will improve enterprise data quality.
  • You will engage with wealth leadership teams to quantify and articulate the business impact of data quality issues.
  • You will communicate complex analytical solutions to a wide range of audiences.
  • You will provide dedicated implementation and configuration support for wealth modernization projects.
  • You will thoroughly track, organize, document, and communicate all implementation related activities for each wealth subject matter expert, and ensure business requirements are clearly communicated across project teams.
  • You will partner with business line managers and IT to help articulate and define business requirements for large financial technology projects.
  • You will become a subject matter expert in the tools and services that will drive wealth management, including being able to troubleshoot moderate to complex issues.
  • You will provide technical guidance to peers and team members to help less senior resources excel.
  • You will provide clear and concise data quality training to front line advisors and relationship managers.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems with a minimum of 3 years of related experience in Finance, Wealth, or MIS.  A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems is preferred.

  • Experience with SQL, VBA, R, Python, Excel and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Moderate experience in data mining, modeling, validation, and insight generation.
  • Understanding of Financial Services/Banking and underling technologies that power these industries
  • Moderate understanding of complex application data flows across multiple highly integrated applications.
  • Experience with data management and data governance tools and processes
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities to ultimately drive projects to a successful completion
  • Solid oral and written communication skills to effectively represent self and BOKF, as well as ability to present complex information and issues in a clear and concise manner
  • Developing conceptual thinking and analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex problems that include interrelationships and dependencies in order to formulate effective solutions
  • Developing organizational skills with ability to persist through ambiguity and move ahead regardless of barriers
  • Ability to effectively plan time, method, manner and sequence of own work assignments while balancing the conflicting demands of stakeholders
