Job Description
The Manager, Branch Operations will lead the operational vision, oversight and capability for more than 110 banking centers, a virtual operations support (VOS) supporting these centers, and division branch readiness and recovery. This leader is responsible for strategic planning and execution of operational activities that ensure the continuous improvement and health of key operating functions within Consumer Branch Operations. This role involves creating strategies and objectives to enhance policies and procedures, mitigate risks, adherence to standards, and quality control while improving outcomes to client and employee experience. Emphasizing on continuous improvement, this leader will ensure responsible areas identify and execute operational enhancements, conduct assessments, resolve complex problems, mitigate risk and foster innovation. This leader plays a key role in ensuring the inspection of branch adherence to standards, processes and operational effectiveness to ensure continued operating health and serves as the first line of audit. This leader will support the division as a subject matter expert in branch policy, procedure, and compliance to support division objectives and strategic growth.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will provide strategic direction and leadership for operational teams, including branch and virtual operations.
- You will develop and implement consumer operations policies and procedures, ensuring effectiveness and risk mitigation.
- You will analyze and recommend improvements to operational performance, focusing on process optimization and ROI.
- You will monitor income and expense performance, fostering superior employee and client experiences.
- You will stay updated on financial industry trends, recommending cost savings and compliance strategies.
- You will ideate on cost reduction and risk mitigation, using assessments and KPIs to improve branch health.
- You will resolve complex operational problems and manage escalated client service issues.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field and 8+ years of banking experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of bank operations, practices, and procedure
- Ability to build strong working relationships with all levels within the organization
- Advanced knowledge of consumer financial products and services
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable consumer banking laws and government regulations
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple functions and projects
- General knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of PC and Windows software, Excel, Word, etc
- Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills, sales, and customer relations skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to persist through ambiguity and move ahead regardless of challenges.
- Creative problem-solving abilities with a strong aptitude for innovative thinking
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process improvements as well as maintain a continuous learning mindset.
