Job Description

The Manager, Security Systems is responsible for managing the design, specifications, installation, on-going preventive and unscheduled maintenance of security equipment to include end-of-line devices, alarm panels, video recorders, cameras, access control devices and the security servers on which the security applications reside.  Maintains an awareness of new, state-of-the-art equipment and negotiates pricing from various vendors to ensure cost effective purchases.  Develops strategies and objectives in the area of security equipment and technology that meet or exceed BOKF standards and objectives for protecting the company’s assets.  This position also manages the programming of the alarm monitoring and access control systems to ensure that information from every monitored zone is accurate and up to date; supervises the Security Business Analyst positions; and coordinates with vendors, users, Corporate Real Estate Services and the Security Services managers throughout the company to address security issues related to new construction, renovations, and the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of all security equipment.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will manage the design and completion of security alarm and video system installations across various projects.
• You will prepare pricing and obtain quotes from security contractors based on construction documents and meetings.
• You will schedule vendors, inspect work progress, and ensure timely completion of necessary programming.
• You will ensure final testing and acceptance of security system installations.
• You will manage maintenance of security systems and related equipment for approximately 250 bank facilities.
• You will interface with vendors, specify/order equipment, and document/manage security equipment inventory.
• You will research, evaluate, design, develop, and test new technology solutions for company implementation.
• You will manage security business analysts' daily activities, workload delegation, training, and performance appraisals.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years experience in bank security or similar security field, which includes a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience or 12-14 years equivalent experience in a security operations environment.

• Extensive, advanced knowledge of bank security alarm and video systems and their various component parts
• Advanced knowledge of electronics and telecommunications (WAN) troubleshooting techniques for security equipment residing on the network or communicating via cellular backup or regular 1FB lines
• Must have the experience and ability to balance multiple projects of varying priority in a fast-paced environment; both independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced knowledge in interpreting construction documents (CDs) related to the layout of security equipment, electrical plans, doors and door hardware to ensure proper placement of security devices.
• Thorough knowledge of configuration and programming of alarm panels and card access systems
• Must meet bank criminal background investigation standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills
• Strong PC skills with an array of experience on software related to industrial security applications running on Windows operating systems.
