About the Role

Your role is vital in developing and administering compensation programs that align with our Total Rewards Strategy and Company goals. You will serve as internal consultant to business areas on all compensation practices.

What You Can Expect

You'll design and develop compensation plans, programs, policies and practices. You will partner with Finance and our HR Business Partners to implement, communicate and administer multiple compensation programs within different lines of business. These will include base salary, discretionary and formulaic incentive pay plans. You'll coach and mentor more junior employees and educate them on specific business area compensation programs to expand their knowledge across business lines.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will identify market trends, monitor the competitiveness of programs, model cost implications, and recommend innovative and effective compensation programs and solutions.
  • You’ll implement, communicate, and administer multiple compensation programs including both base and short-term incentive pay plans.
  • You will conduct an internal compensation analysis to identify comparative salary trends and ensure equity across the organization.
  • You will provide support to management and HR on compensation issues related to salary offers for new hires, promotions, and transfers.

We'd Like to Talk to You

HR & COMPENSATION: You will need advanced knowledge of compensation design and the overall administration of plans, executive compensation principles and regulations, and federal and state regulations.

DATA ANALYSIS: You will use your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for quantitative analysis and business statistics.

DETAIL ORIENTED:  Your attention to detail and accuracy are critical in this role.

TEAM BUILDING: You will coach others and help them develop their capabilities.

COLLABORATION: You enjoy working in teams and across departments with proficiency in follow-up and follow-through.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field of study and 8 or more years of directly related experience in Human Resources with focus on compensation or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Financial Services experience a plus.

  • Extensive knowledge of executive and incentive compensation theory and design
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding compensation programs i.e., FLSA, Civil Rights/EEO Statutes, ADA
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Previous experience utilizing statistical models
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a discrete manner
  • Good interpersonal skills in order to lead, motivate, and promote team building
