Job Description

The Quantitative Analyst I supports the management of all Strategic, Corporate Planning, Profitability, and Financial Planning & Analysis related activity of BOK Financial Corporation.  Responsibilities include advanced financial modeling and analytics in support of forecasting, strategic planning, profitability, and may support various other areas of finance throughout the Bank. In addition, this position will be responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative analyses to support various lines of business.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will play an active role in advanced financial analysis and modeling of all Strategic, Corporate Planning, Profitability, Financial Planning & Analysis activities.
  • You will work with all areas of management accounting to produce quantitative and qualitative analyses in support of profitability improvement and budget/forecasting.
  • You will collaborate cross-functionally with business lines, Risk Management, Credit, and Capital Markets teams on various analyses and recommend actionable strategies.
  • You will design queries to analyze large volumes of data for use in financial analyses and reporting, and provide recommendations for standard PowerBI and Oracle reports.
  • You will maintain ownership of the planning system and assist in the due diligence for the integration of acquisitions.
  • You will perform analysis for key financial information including net interest margin, the balance sheet, certain risk positions, and capital adequacy.
  • You will analyze proposals and recommend solutions to difficult or unusual problems.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics, and 2-3 years work experience. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.

  •  Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of financial modeling and familiarity with the advanced functions in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with the principals and application of financial concepts including NPV, IRR, financial valuation and risk measurement; and familiarity with option valuation and return characteristics
  • Familiarity with R, Visual Basic, SQL, and/or SAS preferred.
  • Working knowledge of financial markets and instruments, specifically fixed-income investments
  • Working knowledge of macroeconomics
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of the principles and application of statistics
  • Solid interpersonal skills including proficient oral and written communication skills with the ability to prepare concise executive reports for senior management and to deliver persuasive oral and written arguments to senior management
  • Superior organizational skills          
  • Resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple assignments
