Job Description

The Senior Accountant, Corporate Tax assembles, maintains, and analyzes as well as reviews domestic and/or international tax information used in the preparation of municipal, state, and federal tax returns for BOKF and its affiliates, which may include primary and review responsibility for maintenance of tax reporting software and internal and external financial statements.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will oversee the preparation, maintenance, and initial review of tax records and information for federal and state income tax returns, franchise tax returns, and estimates.
  • You will research and review various tax issues, including state and local income taxes, and assist in implementing procedures for timely state return preparation.
  • You will manage information reporting compliance, including 1099 compliance, IRS filing requirements, and documentation of compliance procedures.
  • You will prepare and review monthly tax accruals, general ledger accounts, tax account reconciliations, and assist with quarterly call reports, and maintain annual cash payment schedules.
  • You will provide support and technical assistance to various areas of the Bank, addressing questions related to fixed assets, charge-offs, escheatment, and state and local tax issues.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a Bachelor's Degree with 30+ hours of accounting and 3-4 years work related experience or 9-10 years equivalent work related experience.

 

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of municipal, state, and federal income tax laws and regulations
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of prevailing GAAP/RAP 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work as a team to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong analytical, coping, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent microcomputer application and spreadsheet software skills
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Good supervisory skills
