Job Description

The Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy and Growth is responsible for leading the development, execution, and optimization of marketing strategies that drive growth within either consumer (B2C) or business (B2B) banking segments, This role oversees client acquisition and/or lead generation, lifecycle marketing, and/or brand activation initiatives, while managing external agency partnerships and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a data-driven marketer with experience in B2C or B2B environments, capable of delivering integrated campaigns, leveraging analytics, and achieving measurable results in a highly regulated industry.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will lead and mentor a B2B marketing team across performance marketing, lifecycle engagement, and brand activation initiatives.
  • You will develop and execute integrated acquisition and lifecycle strategies to drive growth and retention across consumer and business segments.
  • You will optimize marketing performance through data‑driven testing, targeting, segmentation, and channel mix decisions.
  • You will partner with analytics, digital, product, and external agency teams to align marketing efforts with business growth goals.
  • You will establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting that unify internal and agency data into a clear view of marketing impact.
  • You will translate insights into personalized communications, thought leadership, and actionable recommendations that improve acquisition, engagement, and retention.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field and 10+ years’ experience in marketing and 3+ years in a leadership role or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

  • Strong knowledge of B2B marketing principles, client lifecycle strategies, and financial services trends.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute acquisition and lifecycle marketing strategies in regulated environments.
  • Expertise in performance marketing, segmentation, and campaign analytics.
  • Experience managing external agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Highly analytical with ability to interpret data and apply insights to strategy.
  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail in execution.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., CAN-SPAM, UDAAP, TISA, Reg DD).
  • Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of banking products, services, and basic accounting principles for budget management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms.
  • Creative problem-solving and ability to generate innovative growth ideas.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines within budget.
  • Capacity to translate complex business objectives into actionable marketing strategies.
