About the Role

You’ll serve in a mentor role on the project team, sharing technical and product knowledge with other team members and train them in new technologies.  

As a technical resource, you will partner with developers and development leads to implement previously designed functionality for a project. You are driven by innovation. You also enjoy learning about new technology and trends and how we can implement them to support our business lines. You can diagnose problems and provide quick solutions. Transparent communication with project managers, architects, development teams, and lines of business representatives will set you up for success.

You’ll take the lead on developing and supporting a particular feature or function of a project. You’ll promote and establish internal programming best practices based on industry standards and peer review code quality assurance, provide application support by diagnosing and remediating problems, and performing root cause analysis.

What You Can Expect

In this highly specialized technical role, you can expect many moving parts with developing, testing, and debugging previously designed functionality. Applications include batch scripts, system integrations, working with data, and web applications. Your knowledge of general development, front-end development, mobile development, and database development is critical to your success and ours. How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will use development best practices to program, develop, and execute on solutions for projects.
  • You will build relationships and form partnerships across the bank.
  • You will diagnose and solve problems and provide quick solutions independently.
  • You will design features and functionality for assigned projects.
  • You will code from scratch and debug others’ work.

COMMUNICATION: You’ll need exceptional verbal and written communication to express yourself clearly and concisely to internal and external clients, including C-level audiences.

LEADER AND MENTOR:  You’ll share information, advice and suggestions to help others to be more successful through effective coaching on projects.

TECHNICAL SKILLS: You are tech savvy and understand the systems you support, their integrations, and how they affects all sides.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: You have working knowledge of Wipro Gallagher Solutions (WGS) NetOxygen for building Loan Origination Software (LOS), .NET web Development (ASP.NET, C#), Front-end web development (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript libraries), database development, and general development.

RELATIONSHIP BUILDER: You relate to any audience and build trust by leveraging strong interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field and 2+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Technology certifications are preferred.  It is also preferred that the candidate have Banking and Financial Service experience.
