Job Description

The Technical Analyst II is responsible for acting as a liaison between Enterprise Financial Systems, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), and Accounting with a focus on accurate, timely and trusted data sets. Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry-wide business process and analysis practices and organizational policies and procedures. Defining and performing analysis, design, programming, planning, implementation, and supporting of some of critical systems software and procedures with a focus on our long term technology road map which require technical and systems knowledge.  The Technical Analyst helps plan, organize, and control projects which have an organizational impact as well as provides day-to-day support for complex applications systems in Finance, Accounting and other key areas.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will write business requirements, analyze data, develop solutions, test results, and implement solutions into a set of Oracle platforms, both on-prem and in Oracle Cloud.
• You will collaborate with your teammates using Agile Kanban methodology
• You will collaborate with other analysts helping lead projects and day to day support efforts for our Finance and Accounting business partners
• You will apply general technical understanding of single application data flows across multiple applications, software and system integrations, RDBMS principles, tiered environments, Cloud environments, and project management skills.
• You will perform job scheduling responsibilities including writing, reading, and troubleshooting job plans.
• You will develop simple to moderate batch scripts & stored procedures and provide technical requirements/specifications. 
• You will help support part of our Oracle Financials suite of applications
• You will help plan and execute Disaster Recovery processes as needed.

 

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of (a/an) Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field of study and / or 3-5 years of directly related experience in Technical Analysis, Data Analytics, or Bank Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.


General technical understanding of:
• Simple data flows across multiple applications
• SQL Queries
• Software integration, system integration, and technology used
• Database and data warehousing principles and tools
• Tiered environments (e.g. development, testing, UAT, production, DR)
• Application disaster recovery
• Leveraging knowledge of Cloud environments
• IT and Information Security standards and concepts
• Solid conceptual thinking and analytical skills
• General  Project Management Skills
• Solid Collaborative skills 


Would prefer:
• Oracle RDBMS is a plus
• Oracle Cloud (OCI) or OFSAA experience is a plus
• APEX Development is a plus
• Agile Methodology is a plus
• Banking and Accounting experience is a plus
• Windows/Linux/WebLogic experience is a plus
• ESSBASE/Hyperion experience is a plus
