Job Description

The Technical Analyst III job family is responsible for delivering superior services acting as a liaison between the line of business and IT. The Technical Analyst III will play a crucial role in a team dedicated to productizing APIs within the organization. This role involves managing APIs as distinct products, ensuring they are consistently designed, managed, and secured, and providing a clear roadmap for their development. The Technical Analyst will work closely with other development teams and lines of business (LOBs) to promote the adoption and integration of these APIs into their applications and platforms.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will partner and collaborate with the Product Owner to meet business objectives by executing work managed on a Digital Product Roadmap. 
• You will lead collaboration across the Agile scrum team and stakeholder roles to understand problems, identify opportunities, and turn feature requests from discovery to released API products. 
• You will consult with stakeholders and team members to ensure solutions properly balance the trade-offs between business objectives, user experience, technical considerations, and targeted timelines. 
• You will decompose initiatives into smaller work items, Epics, that can be worked by the development team.
• You will write user stories and acceptance criteria, lead refinement sessions, and coordinate with the development team to define the planned solution and ensure a shared understanding for solutions. 
• You will analyze system dependencies to identify gaps and ensure seamless integration. 
• You will write business and functional requirements for simple to complex projects.
• You will analyze, design, plan, test, and deploy complex systems software and programs.
• You will perform business process modeling (includes logical modeling, data retention, and business process modeling) for simple to complex projects.
• You will perform job scheduling responsibilities including writing, reading, and troubleshooting job plans.
• You will develop simple to moderate batch scripts & stored procedures and provide technical requirements/specifications. 
• You will employ IT governance policies, project architecture methodology and service oriented architecture (SOA) policies, and technology standards.  Construct SOA web services and employ architectural contracts.
• You will mentor other analysts by providing oversight of projects or day to day support efforts.
• You will have experienced technical understanding of single application data flows across multiple applications, software and system integrations, RDBMA principles, tiered environments, Cloud environments, and well developed project management skills.

 

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of (a/an) Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field of study and/or 3-5 years of directly related experience in Technical Analysis, Data Analytics, or Bank Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience. 


• Experienced technical understanding of single application data flows across multiple applications, software integration, system integration, and technology used.
• Proficiency in RDBMS principles and tools, tiered environments (e.g., development, testing, UAT, production, DR), and application disaster recovery.
• Strong SQL query skills and knowledge of IT and IS standards and concepts.
• Familiarity with the banking and payments industry and processes
• Ability to conduct fit-gap analysis and provide resolutions to moderately complex problems.
• Well-developed project management skills, including knowledge of project management methodologies, quality/testing methodologies, and IT lifecycle governance.
• Excellent collaborative skills, including oral and written communication skills to effectively represent oneself and the organization
• Demonstrated ability to establish and build healthy working partnerships with clients, vendors and peers.
• Agile & scrum experience in software development
