The Treasury Management Officer III responsibilities include prospecting, marketing, selling, cross-selling, and implementing the Bank’s commercial depository services and cash management products to customers and prospects; acts as a liaison between customers and Bank’s service departments to support sales implementation and service issues; manages customer relationships to ensure all needs are addressed; impact market share and success in the market.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Establishes, builds, manages and maintains complex professional banking relationships with major clients/prospects which utilize depository/cash management services; calls on major commercial accounts and prospects to develop new relationships and to promote additional bank services.
  2. Develops and executes sales presentations for customers/prospects including cost/benefit analyses; service and fee comparisons, written proposals, and profitability analysis.
  3. Plans, implements, and evaluates product and service sales to customers, prospects, coordinates with various areas of the Bank which provide various services.
  4. Cross sells all Bank products and services; refers customer/prospects to the appropriate division/department; monitors and ensures appropriate follow up.
  5. Provides advice and guidance to less experienced Sales Consultants on practices and procedures; may accompany other Sales Consultants during client presentations to provide expertise regarding depository/cash management services.
  6. Prepares and provides sales/service management tools for management including call plans, call reports, sales reports, and profitability and market analyses.
  7. Prepares and recommends customer, market, product, and pricing strategies to ensure that objectives are met with respect to market share and profitability goals.
  8. Coordinates service support for resolution of customer problems/complaints with depository/cash management services; communicates resolutions to customers; handles more complex DDA/Deposit processing problems which reoccur or are of magnitude which affect customer relationships.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • Extensive knowledge of product delivery systems and on-line computer systems
  • Extensive knowledge of banking and cash management products
  • Strategic sales cycle knowledge; sales planning, sales approach, and providing solutions selling to large, complex customers
  • Excellent knowledge of Bank operations
  • Good PC and software application skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to prospect and network at various levels within a company for complex deals and relationships
  • Specialized cash management training; Certified Cash Management (CCM)/Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years experience in cash management product sales.
