Job Description

The WMS Operations Analyst II is primarily responsible for defining and performing analysis, programming, planning, implementation, and supporting of Wealth Management Services’ applications and processes which require moderate technical and systems knowledge. The analyst is a subject matter expert on process improvement methodology, system functionality and integration with considerable focus on controlling the significant financial risk associated with trading, securities processing and cash movement while maintaining the highest possible level of prudent service standards, policies and procedures including vendor management, training and continuous staff development of technical skills.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will develop an in-depth understanding of information needs from business partners within Wealth Management. This knowledge is gained through collaboration with users, observation of day-to-day operations, and review of procedures and system documentation.
  • You will perform extensive analysis of operational data to determine priorities for improvement opportunities.
  • You will work closely with lines of business, including management, to identify, analyze, and implement core business processes to ensure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate risk.
  • You will support process change by integrating new processes with existing documentation; as well as communicate changes to impacted departments to ensure integration with other functional areas. Coordination of activities will take place with management, IT development, operations, end users, and vendors.
  • You will attend regular project meetings with project managers, IT business analysts, end users and others to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs. You will provide feedback, when necessary, related to impacts and best practices.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science and 5-7 years of directly related system administration experience in a high volume operations environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
