Job Description

The Corporate Card Sales Specialist is primarily responsible for selling, growing, and maintaining business credit card relationships, including both our direct issuance and agent card products.  Partners with Commercial Relationship Managers (C&I, Energy, Healthcare, CRE, Business Banking) and TMOs as a Corporate Card sales and product expert and leads more complex sales efforts.  Responsible for creating and implementing a Corporate Card sales training program and assisting in evaluation of new products or enhancements, new product rollouts and implementations.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will develop new client sales by partnering with Commercial Relationship Managers and TMOs, and using various prospecting methods.
  • You will expand existing client relationships by analyzing current business trends and identifying additional product opportunities.
  • You will achieve sales goals through effective presentations, product consultations, portfolio evaluations, and tracking spend volume.
  • You will act as a liaison to resolve complex client processing requirements between commercial customers and internal teams.
  • You will support and train on new product developments and enhancements, collaborating with market strategy teams.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience in cash management sales or product management or 11+ year’s equivalent experience.  Certified Purchasing Card Professional (CPCP) through National Association for Purchasing Professionals (NAPCP) and other Treasury Services certifications are highly desirable. 

  • Extensive and in-depth knowledge of Corporate Cards and related product delivery systems
  • Comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of cash management products
  • Extensive knowledge of Bank operations
  • Strong consultative skills
  • Excellent PC and software application skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral presentations and demonstrations to multiple levels of any organization
  • Ability to analyze and leverage data to uncover and implement growth strategies
  • Experience in selling complex expense management solutions that have extended sales cycles, contract negotiations and implementation time lines
  • Ability to manage multiple, diverse engagements with strong attention to details / follow-through
  • Ability to solve business problems and provide workable solutions through logical and systematic approaches
  • Sense of urgency for goal achievement, strong commitment to driving sales results
