Job Description
The Monetary Risk Analyst position is primarily responsible for the timely resolution and clearing of assigned banking center suspense accounts (Teller Suspense, Teller Exchange, Currency Shipment, CDP, Provisional Credit, and Consumer Loan in Process), teller outage tracking, and charge-off accounts.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will identify abnormal or suspicious activities and report any irregular or inappropriate practices to the Manager. You will also identify opportunities to improve operating procedures, and recommend solutions to the Monetary Risk Manager.
- You will research, reconcile, and clear banking center suspense entries within established Consumer and Finance division guidelines to reduce or eliminate exposure to losses. This includes identifying, documenting, and escalating negative trends to the Monetary Risk Manager.
- You will monitor general ledger suspense account activity while ensuring transactions are processed within BOKF policy and consumer management control guidelines. You will research unresolved teller differences to mitigate possible loss, minimize client impact and reduce employee turnover.
- You will track individual teller outage expenses, respond to management inquiries regarding progress on, or resolution of teller outages, and prepare monthly teller outage reports and ensures each branch’s report balances to the branch’s “Teller Differences” general ledger account.
- You will reconcile assigned BOKF imaged ATM deposits of cash and check. This includes researching and reconciling ATM deposit dispute claims in conjunction with Financial Crime Unit Bankcard Group, reviewing and resolving all BOKF banking center account closing suspense outages and working with the banking center to resolve, and processing the payment or return of all banking center issued Official Checks and Money Orders.
- You will make decisions that require the review of GL and DDA entries to insure proper funding was received at the time of the issuance and that items are not counterfeit or have not been previously presented through image exchange. You will work with Accounting to insure Official Checks and Money Orders are cleared from Accounting’s reconcilement report.
- You will maintain and update department reporting functions regarding teller outages, audit exceptions, Canadian items, system corrections, etc. in order to reduce risk of loss to the bank. You will assist in various projects as assigned by supervisory and consumer management personnel, and process charge-off accounts as assigned.
- You will assist management with the development of policy and procedure related to workflow, and provide training support to new hires and other individuals on the team.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through and Associate’s Degree in a business related field and 1-2 years of experience in a financial institution or accounting/reconciliation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of banking center teller and platform operations
- Working knowledge of all banking center processes and procedures
- Working knowledge of ATM reconciliation process
- Basic knowledge of accounting principals
- Strong PC and software application skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
